Materials: Students should come to class each day with their math textbook, math composition book, binder, pencils and of course, THEIR COMPLETED HOMEWORK :-)  

Sign Language:  Students will be taught key signs to communicate with the teacher.  These signs are used by all teachers on the team to prevent confusion.

Bell Work:  Students are expected to be sitting in their assigned seat quietly with homework out for scoring, planner open to record daily assignments and composition book to complete Daily Spiral activity.

Rows Ready:  This term is used at the end of class to inform students that it is time to pack up and tidy their area.  Students should work quickly and quietly with chairs pushed in so they can get to their next class on time.

Pencil Policy:  Students may sharpen pencils during Bell Work only.  After Bell Work, students may trade for a sharpened pencil.  Mechanical pencils are preferred but students are not permitted to refill their pencil in class.  In the event that a student's pencil is lost or forgotten, they may borrow with an ID card. 

Trash:  Students are not permitted to leave their seats to throw trash away during direct instruction.  They can put it in their backpack or wait till study group time.

Incoming Assignments:  If something needs to be collected it will be passed to the center aisle and then forward to be stored in the incoming file for each period.  

Graded Work:  Students work will be stored in a classroom portfolio.   

No-Name Papers:  If an assignment does not have a name, it will be stored in the no-name file.  Occasionally, this file is emptied and papers are recycled.
